12.09.2016 – Integrated Environmental Plan 2030
BMUB. On September 9, 2016, Barbara Hendricks, German Minister for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety, has presented the Integrated Environmental Plan until 2030. Hendricks emphasized the need for new improved environmental policies to meet current environmental challenges. Although many ecological milestones have been achieved over the last years, Germany still has to reduce its contribution to global pollution and resource depletion. Being one of the global leaders in environmental engineering, it is Germany’s responsibility to promote the transition towards an environmentally friendly and sustainable development of politics, economy and society.
