The Ministry of Ecology and Environment (MEE) has issued the administrative regulation “Ecological Protection Red Line Eco-Environmental Supervision Measures”. The Measures clarify the institutional arrangements and specific work requirements for ecological supervision of the ecological protection red line, regulate the ecological supervision of the ecological protection red line in the ecological environment sector, and ultimately aim to strengthen the ecological supervision of the ecological protection red line, ensure that the ecological function of the ecological protection red line is not reduced, the area is not reduced, and the nature is not changed, enhance the diversity, stability and sustainability of the ecosystem, and safeguard national ecological security.
