The “Law of the People’s Republic of China on Noise Pollution Prevention and Control” was adopted by the Thirty-Second Session of the Standing Committee of the Thirteenth National People’s Congress of the People’s Republic of China on 24 December 2021 and shall come into force on 5 June 2022.
The new ” Law on Noise Pollution Prevention and Control” ” has six main features: (1) increasing the object of noise prevention and control, expanding the scope of application of the law; (2) strengthen the monitoring responsibilities, more clear division of responsibilities of monitoring and administrative departments; (3) strengthening prevention and control at source; (4) strengthening the implementation of noise standards; (5) improving operability; (6) promoting industrial development.
