On 8 April, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment (MEE) issued the “Technical Guidelines for Environmental Impact Assessment – Ecological Impact”. The revised content fully connects with the new requirements of the “Yangtze River Protection Law”, the “Wetland Protection Law”, the “Opinions of the State Council on Further Strengthening Biodiversity Protection” and other laws and policies. With the revision, various aspects such as evaluation levels, survey and evaluation of the status quo, prediction and analysis, protection measures and monitoring were improved and adapted.
