Revised “Ten Codes of Conduct for Ecological and Environmental Protection” released

On June 5, 2023, the revised “Ten Codes of Conduct for Ecological and Environmental Protection” was jointly released by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the General Office of the Central Commission for Guiding Cultural and Ethical Progress, the Communist Youth League of China, and the All-China Women’s Federation, with the aim of guiding citizens in their duty and responsibility to protect the environment.
Based on the in 2018 released Codes of Conducts for Ecological and Environmental Protection (Trial), the New Ten Codes maintained the original ten aspects of conducts (such as caring for ecology and environment, saving energy and resources, using low-carbon transportation, waste segregation, etc.). In terms of specific behavioral promotion, the goals of protection behavior are further clarified and operationalized to meet the specific environmental concerns of the public and the changing circumstances. As for the publicity, more promoting channels such as posters, videos and expert explanations, are adopted to further promote the society to form a green and low-carbon way of production and lifestyle.
